National Donor Day Interview - Breakfast with Bridgett News 6 Orlando

14 February 2025

Valentine’s Day coincides with National Donor Day, a time to reflect and honor those who gave the gift of life, known as “Donor Heroes”. Friday on Breakfast with Bridgett, Jayden Beyrooti shared the inspiration and impact his brother, Seth, made through his music and gifts of life. In 2018, the brothers were involved in a fiery crash on SR-429 caused by a distracted driver. One of the six lives Seth saved included a responder whose lungs failed due to long-term damage caused by serving at Ground Zero after the WTC attacks of 2001.

“A man named Richard worked as the director of emergency gas response for the city of New York. Following the attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, he lived in a trailer onsite at Ground Zero and worked tirelessly for months to restore and repair gas services. The debris in the air after the towers collapsed damaged his lungs over time. In 2018, he was in bad shape until he received the strong, healthy, 21 year-old lungs of Seth,” Beyrooti said.

Beyrooti said he hopes to inspire others to consider becoming donors through helping to sharing Seth’s impact with the world.
